Ohio State Highway Patrol Ironton Post Trooper of the Year named

Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Bransen J. Barr was recently selected as the 2017 Ironton Post Trooper of the Year.
The selection of Barr recognizes his outstanding service at the Ironton Post throughout 2017. He was selected by his peers based on his leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude and cooperation with supervisors, peers and the public.
Barr joined the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2015, and has been assigned to the Ironton Post throughout his career. He is a 2012 graduate of Gallia Academy High School and a 2014 graduate of Rio Grande University. Before joining the patrol, Barr was previously employed by Ohio Valley Bank.
With the Ironton Post Trooper of the Year award, Trooper Barr is now in contention for the District and State Trooper of the Year Award, to be announced at a later date.
