ODOT treating roads

Crews from throughout Ohio Department of Transportation District 9 have been dispatched this morning to patrol and treat routes as needed for snow and ice.
As of 7 a.m. today, pavement conditions throughout the area are mostly clear and wet; however, roadways are slick and ice may be present. In addition, ice – particularly “black ice” – can form quickly and provide little notice to drivers.
Although crews will be applying salt and de-icers as needed, motorists are reminded to use additional caution and that wet pavement can be slick. During inclement weather, drivers should reduce their speed and allow additional travel and stopping time. And remember, in ice and snow, take it slow.
District 9 includes Adams, Brown, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross and Scioto counties.
