BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Shawnee State women’s soccer had three players named All-Mid-South Conference on Thursday night.
Michaela Garner, Jenny Campbell and Maddie Woodard were all named second team All-Mid-South Conference during Friday’s Mid-South Conference Women’s Soccer Banquet. SSU’s three all-conference selections are the same as they had last season.
Campbell’s all-conference selection is the third of her career. She was named second team in 2014 and first team in 2016. Garner and Woodard earn all-conference selections for the second time, and the second year in a row, with both having been second team both seasons.
In addition to SSU’s all-conference selections, the Bears had nine players named Mid-South Conference All-Academic. Campbell and Garner are joined by Destiny Chester, Charity Collins, Alison Cook, Adrianna Johnson, Jill Kelly, Laken Munn and former St. Joseph standout Sidney Payne to earn the Mid-South Conference’s highest academic honor. SSU’s nine all-academic honorees are the most SSU has had since 2015.
Shawnee State women’s soccer began the Mid-South Conference Tournament on Friday against third seeded Georgetown.
