Ironton aLive has business after hours event

On Thursday, Ironton aLive hosted a business after hours event at the Chat Room Café.
The speaker was Bob Braun, from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation agency. He is the regional business development manager for Southwestern Ohio.
He spoke on the subject of how many small businesses are not aware of all workers’ compensation insurance rules and regulations. Braun also discussed grants that some cities have gotten to help reduce costs. He then took questions about issues that business owners have. Other speakers talked about improving Ironton.
The next business after hours will be in the spring.
Upcoming Ironton aLive events include Small Business Saturday will be in downtown Ironton on Saturday, Nov. 25, and the Christmas concerts at the Ironton City Center are set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 and Saturday, Dec. 16. Performing musical groups will be announced at a later date.
