KITTS HILL — A Scioto County woman has died, following a motorcycle crash in Kitts Hill at 1:05 p.m. Sunday.

According to the Ironton post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Sonja L. Gillette, 50, of Lucasville, was riding as a passenger with her husband, Mark A. Gillette, 57, on State Route 141 near milepost 7, when the motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve and overturned on the roadway.

She was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. His injuries were non-life threatening.

The crash is under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
