McBride, Adkins also set for concert series

ASHLAND — Three big names in country music are coming to the region.

The Paramount Arts Center, located on Winchester Avenue in Ashland, has announced that Emmylou Harris, Martina McBride and Trace Adkins will perform at the theater later this year, as part of the Kentucky Music Trail 2017 series of concerts.

Harris, an acclaimed singer, songwriter and member of the Country Music Hall of Fame who topped the charts numerous times in the 1970s and 80s, is scheduled to perform on Nov. 3.

McBride, known for her wide singing range and signature song “Independence Day,” will appear on Aug. 10, while Adkins, who has released 32 top 40 country hits, is set for Oct. 7.
