SOUTH POINT – Beginning Monday, through Friday, Aqua Ohio employees will open fire hydrants to flush water mains.

Flushing will be done in Chesapeake and East Chesapeake on Monday; Chesapeake, Big Branch, West Chesapeake, and Sybene on Tuesday; Buffalo Creek, Charley Creek, Sybene, and Sandusky Road area on Wednesday; Burlington and the rest of the system will be flushed on Thursday and Friday. The flushing will be done between 10 p.m.-2 a.m.

Customers may experience a slight drop in water pressure or a temporary discoloration of their water. The water is safe to drink but customers should refrain from doing laundry while flushing is taking place.

If discoloration occurs, open several cold water faucets for a short time until the water runs clear.
