Everyone knows that there are multitudes of grants available for various different types of organizations, but figuring out how to get started can be a daunting process. However, the Ohio University Southern Continuing Education department is offering two excellent workshops that will help you find the right grant for your needs, and then teach you how you can get started right away on a rock-solid proposal.
There will be two workshops on May 5 at OUS.
The morning grant workshop, Hunt for Big Grants, will be in the Dingus Technology Center in room 218 from 9:15 -11:30 a.m. During this workshop, you will learn where you need to search, and how you can keep yourself updated on new grant announcements.
You will also learn how to efficiently find and navigate free grant resources on the Internet, thereby maximizing the tools you have at your disposal.
In the afternoon, from 1:15-3:30 p.m., the Write Strong/Get Grants workshop will also be in the Dingus Technology Center, room 218. During this workshop, you will be taught some of the finer details about writing problem statements, goals, and objectives to strengthen your grant proposal. Participants will engage in hands-on exercises that are designed to boost your writing power, and to make your proposal stand out against even the toughest of competition.
The cost of an individual workshop is $30, which will also include a certificate for two contact hours/.2 CEUs. Should you choose to register for both workshops at the same time, you may do so for the discounted price of $55, which will include a certificate for a total of four contact hours/.4 CEUs. Make sure you register today to save your seat.
