The Friends of Ironton-sponsored Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Friends is set to take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Ro-Na Theater in downtown Ironton.

Suzy Hamlin, member of the Friends of Ironton, said the group is excited for this event, the first the group has done for Easter.

“This is our first Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Friends, but last year we had a breakfast with Santa at Christmas time, and the kids loved it,” she said. “We’re really looking forward to this and I know the kids will enjoy it.”

Along with the Easter Bunny, several other characters will also be available at the event for photos.

Breakfast is $5 per person, and will include pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee. All proceeds from the event go toward the restoration of the Ro-Na.

The Friends of Ironton also hosted an April Fools 5K this past Saturday, which included 57 participants.

Hamlin said the 5K was the first the Friends of Ironton have put on, but that the group was very pleased with the turnout and positive feedback and hopes to host more in the future.
