CROWN CITY — Payton Walsh can multi-task.
Walsh recorded a triple-double as she led the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings to a 59-18 rout of the South Gallia Lady Rebels on Saturday.
Walsh had 19 points — she was 5-of-8 from 3-point range — along with 11 rebounds and 11 assists. She and Sierra Ross also had four steals each.
“That was a heck of an effort on Walsh’s part. She works hard and has a great attitude. I’m happy for her,” said Lady Vikings’ coach Alvin Carpenter.
The Lady Vikings’ Jensyn Shepherd had 20 points and 11 rebounds while Kaitlyn Crabtree got 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Shepherd scored seven points in the first quarter as the Lady Vikings took a 15-2 lead.
Walsh got nine points in the second quarter and it was 29-10 at the half.
Shepherd came back with seven more in the third quarter for a 42-16 lead.
Symmes Valley hosts Portsmouth West on Monday and visits Western on Wednesday.
