Friends of Ironton event is Saturday

The Friends of Ironton are hosting the first annual Breakfast with Santa and Friends from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Ro-Na Theater.

The event will include Santa Claus, Mrs.Claus and elves, as well as Frosty the Snowman and various other guest characters.

“We want everyone to come out and enjoy themselves. It’s not just for children, its for everybody,” Val Freeman, of the Friends of Ironton, said. “And we want to really encourage the kids to come and see Santa and bring their letters for Santa.”

Along with breakfast, guests will be able to enjoy the Christmas decorations at the theater and take a selfie with the ticket booth, which will be filled with candy. According to Susie Hamlin, of Friends of Ironton, there will be hourly winners, who will be awarded a $10 gift certificate for Frische’s, for correctly guessing the amount of candy.

The cost is $5 per person, and the Ro-Na Theater is located at 310 S. Third St. in Ironton.
