Things went a little better for the Green Bobcats this season, and that may be due in part to how things went really well for Tyler Darnell.
The Bobcats 5-foot-10, 175-pound running back enjoyed a stellar season and was rewarded by being named to the Associated Press Division VII All-Ohio football team as a special mention selection.
Darnell was a first team AP Southeast Ohio All-District first team pick after he rushed for more than 1,000 yards despite missing one game due to an injury.
Darnell has been the Bobcats top rusher the past two seasons. During his junior season, he set the school’s single-game rushing record last season with 312 yards against West Union.
