Defendants arraigned in CP court

Probationers admit CCS violations, sent to prison

The docket of Lawrence County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday was filled with arraignments and defendants who violated their probation.

Erica Anderson, 25, of 1853 Horton Sisters Rod, Oak Hill, was arraigned on a fifth-degree count of possession of drugs, to which she pleaded not guilty. Retired judge Richard Walton set bond at $10,000 own-recognizance and set a pretrial for Nov. 30.

Paul Abrams, 31, of 142 Township Road 41 N., Pedro, was arraigned on a bill of information of fourth-degree trafficking in in drugs, to which he pleaded guilty. Walton sentenced the man to 12 months in prison.

Eric Smith, 31, of 5391 Partridge Drive, Crosslanes, West Virginia, was arraigned on a fifth-degree count of possession of drugs, to which he pleaded not guilty. Walton set bond at $25 OR and a pretrial was set for Nov. 30.

Clinton Cremeans, 37, of 433 Private Drive 856, South Point, who previously pleaded guilty to fifth-degree theft from a protected class, receiving stolen property and two misdemeanor counts of theft, was sentenced to 12 months in prison.

David Cornell, 38, of 3562 County Road 12, Proctorville, was arraigned on two fifth-degree counts of theft by deception, to which he pleaded not guilty. Walton set bond at $20,000 OR and set a pretrial for Nov. 30.

Jodi Blevins, 22, of 1097 County Road 1 Apt. 64, South Point, admitted community control sanctions violations and was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail.

Kimberly Fannin, 53, of 1222 Jackson Ave., Huntington, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to six months in prison.

Dan Bean, 37, of 5940 Mahood Drive, Huntington, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to seven months in prison.

Amanda Castle, 33, of 728 High St., Coal Grove, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to four months in prison.

Ric Massie, 46, of 105 Private Drive 567, Proctorville, was arraigned on a fourth-degree count of theft, to which he pleaded not guilty. Judge Charles Cooper set bond at $2,500 cash or surety and $25,000 OR. A pretrial was set for Nov. 23.

Anita Rossiter, 40, of 1226 County Road 72, Crown City, was arraigned on a third-degree count of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, to which she pleaded not guilty. Cooper set bond at $10,000 OR and set a pretrial for Nov. 23.

Virginia White, 41, of 1173 County Road 1 Lot 28, South Point, was arraigned on a third-degree count of burglary and a fourth-degree count of theft, to which she pleaded not guilty. Cooper set bond at $35,000 OR and set a pretrial for Nov. 30.
