Kroger donates to Community Harvest

Residents of the eastern end of Lawrence County demonstrated their caring for their neighbors over the weekend by donating more than 4,200 pounds in the Community Harvest food drive.

The Proctorville Kroger donated $1,000 to the two local food pantries — Community Mission Outreach located in the Chesapeake Community Center and RMA located in New Hope Methodist Church  — that will receive all the food items donated.

As a result, hundreds of local families will have food for Thanksgiving and the holiday season. Chesapeake, Proctorville, South Point and all the neighborhoods in between are wonderful communities.
