For many, what will ultimately become a person’s career may be a mystery long after their education is complete, while some may know what they want to do from an early age.
That was the goal of the career day at Burlington Elementary earlier this week when students got to dress up in costume in what they want to be later on when it is time to start their career.
While this is certainly likely to change many times between now and then, at least starting the process that allows the children to think about what they want do is a good start.

This is the third year of its career day for the third grade class at Burlington, and its not just about letting the kids get dressed up. The goal is to begin the process of getting the children to start learning about several different jobs and how they make an impact on others and the community.
Whether it is becoming a firefighter, nurse, journalist, teacher, dentist, enlisting in the military or any other field, the possibilities are endless.
It is essential to start providing them with the best information possible now so they can make the best decision when the time comes.
