Lady Pointers split pair of OVC volleyball games

SOUTH POINT — There’s no doubt the fans got their money’s worth and then some.
In a grueling Ohio Valley Conference volleyball game on Tuesday, the Chesapeake Lady Panthers and South Point Lady Pointers went the distance as the Lady Panthers won in five sets, 21-25, 25-19, 25-23, 13-25 and 15-6 in the tiebreaker.
In the reserve match, the Lady Pointers won 25-19, 25-16.
Last Thursday, the Lady Pointers beat the Fairland Lady Dragons in four sets, 25-15, 25-23, 20-25 and 25-14.
Gallia vs. Coal Grove
COAL GROVE — The Gallipolis Blue Angels keep on going.
Gallipolis remained unbeaten in the Ohio Valley Conference volleyball race on Tuesday as they beat the Coal Grove Lady Hornets in straight sets.
Gallipolis won 25-14, 25-11 and 25-11.
In the jayvee match, Gallipolis won 25-13, 25-11.
