For anyone interested in expanding their knowledge of the paranormal, a Paranormal Mysteries community education class is set to be offered at Ohio University Southern in Ironton and Chillicothe in October.
Local musician and paranormal enthusiast Todd Martin will instruct the class, and has taught it two other times previously at Ohio University Southern Ironton and Journey Within bookstore in Portsmouth.
Martin said the class can be viewed as a guided discussion into popular paranormal field topics.
“Students will be polled informally, and if they have specific interests, we will try to address them during the class meetings,” Martin said. “This class should not be thought of solely as ‘ghost hunting,’ although we will plan to devote a good deal of time to the topic at the last class meeting.”
No tests will be given in the class, but note taking is encouraged.
The class will be offered from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday evenings, Oct. 4, 11, 18 and 25, at Ohio University Southern in Ironton, and 7-9 p.m.
Monday evenings, Oct. 3, 10, 17 and 24, at Ohio University Southern in Chillicothe.
To register for Ironton, call the Ironton campus at 740-533-4600, and to register for Chillicothe, call 740-774-7226. Registration can also be made on the Ohio University Southern website.
