ROCK CAMP — An annual apple butter-making event, which has taken place for more than 40 years, is set for Monday, Sept 26.

Pastor Brad Jenkins, of Rock Camp United Methodist Church, said the event will run from “sunrise to sunset” at the church.

“We do this once a year,” he said. “We get together and make apple butter throughout the day. Anyone can stop by and join the fellowship.”

Jenkins said the event will also feature a yard sale, a bake sale and hot dogs and other food.

The apple butter will be sold in mild and in hot varieties. Jenkins said the hot features more cinnamon. The price is $5 for a pint and $9 for a quart.

Jenkins said it will be on sale at the event, but it is best order in advance. Orders can be placed by calling him at 740-532-5610 before Sept 23.
