NEW BOSTON — When the volleyball began to fall, it fell the wrong way for the Symmes Valley Lady Vikings.
With the game tied at two sets each, things didn’t fall right for the Lady Vikings who lost a five-set Southern Ohio Conference game to the New Boston Lady Tigers on Tuesday.
“We made a lot of mistakes. We had some miscommunication in the last set and a lot of ball dropped in,” said Lady Vikings’ coach Kristin Klaiber.
New Boston won the first set 25-21 and third set 26-24.
Symmes Valley took the second set 25-14 and fourth set 25-23 before falling in the tiebreaker 15-6.
Kinley Patterson had 14 points including two aces while Taylor Webb and Makayla Herrell scored 11 points each for the Lady Vikings.
Webb also had 22 kills and three blocks. Patterson had five kills, Sierra Ross 26 assists and Hannah Gates added five digs.
