SOUTH POINT — South Point police have released the name of the victim of a murder last week.

Police chief Chris Mahjer said that Kendall Ramon Davis Jr., 26, of Detroit was found dead of a gunshot wound at an apartment in the 100 block of Meadowbrook Lane.

Mahjer said he received the call at 6 a.m., after another resident came home and discovered Davis’ body.

He said police are still investigating the case and that the Ohio Bureau of Crime Investigations has been called in to assist.

Anyone with information is asked to call either South Point police or the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
