Half of expected 120 new positions still open for hiring
Emerson Network Power is currently in the middle of setting up manufacturing equipment for the production of two new product lines being brought to the Liebert facility in Ironton.
The company announced the move in November 2015, which it says will result in the hiring of approximately 120 hourly workers by fall 2017.
The company says the move will allow the company to optimize assets, consolidate floor space, streamline production and improve logistics.
The two additional product lines are for for Liebert-branded thermal management products used in data centers, including mid-to-large sized perimeter cooling systems for datacenter applications.
The company says the move is progressing well and it has invested in capital equipment upgrades to support manufacturing and the addition of a 2,000 square foot storage building. The changes are expected to be complete by fall 2017.
The company is gradually hiring for all three shifts in line with customer orders and the plan to increase the capacity and output of the facility. Half of the positions have been filled so far, the company said.
Information about the job openings can be found at the Workforce Development Resource Center located at 120 N. Third St. in Ironton.
