A South Point man suspected in a series of bank robberies is now facing two federal counts of bank robbery.

Charles Richard Vaughn III, 26, was apprehended in Florida in December 2015 following an arrest for an alleged carjacking in Jacksonville.

According to the South Point Police, Vaughn carjacked a man and had him drive to a bank drive-thru window. While pointing a gun at the man, he allegedly told the teller to give him money or he would shoot the man. Police said, after receiving money, Vaughn fled in the vehicle.
