WILLOW WOOD — A group of Symmes Valley High School sophomores and Symmes Valley High School government teacher Justin Berry are hosting a spaghetti dinner at 5 p.m. Friday at the Symmes Valley Elementary School cafeteria.
The dinner serves as a fundraiser for the students to attend the presidential inauguration next year in Washington D.C.
“I figure that’s a good first-hand representation of what our government is and the kids would see some things they wouldn’t see on a regular basis,” Berry said. “Not only would they see the inauguration, but they would get a chance to see the Holocaust Museum, the Arlington Cemetery and be able to tour the nation’s capital.”
Tickets for the spaghetti dinner are $5 per person. For more information, contact Symmes Valley High School at 740-643-2371 or Berry at 304-638-7782.
