The search for a Kitts Hill man continues with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
“There is nothing new, but we are still looking,” sheriff Jeff Lawless said.
Billy R. Harper, 41 of County Road 19, was reported missing on April 22 and was last seen by family members on April 20.
On Thursday his car was found by a hunter who reported it to the sheriff’s office. The car was at the 8-mile marker of County Road 5 in Kitts Hill.
That led to deputies searching that area, including a culvert.
“We processed the car and have spent time on the phone with family members,” the sheriff said.
Detectives have also contacted AT&T to have them ping his phone.
“We want to get his phone records to see the last call,” Lawless said. “It can tell you when he talked to someone last and they find out what did they talk about.”
Harper is a white male, 41 years old, 5-foot-10 weighing 155 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a beard and wears glasses.
