Fighting Tigers’ tennis team slips by Panthers

PORTSMOUTH — The Ironton Fighting Tigers tennis team downed the Portsmouth Clay Panthers 3-2 on Monday.
Ironton’ s No. 1 singles player Mitchell Weisgarber and No. 3 man Andrew McCown both picked up wins along with the Fighting Tigers’ No. 2 doubles team Brock Midkiff-Sands and Elena Wilson.
No. singles player Cory Rawlins lost along with the No. 1 doubles team of Jaxson Pleasant and Trevin Dutey.
Ironton (6-4) hosts Wheelersburg on Wednesday, April 27.
