Grand jury indicts 14 on crimes

A Lawrence County grand jury indicted 14 people this week on a number of charges.
• Matthew J. Mullens, 23, of 131 Township Road 1426, South Point, rape, first-degree felony, and gross sexual imposition, third-degree felony.
• Jessica Waggoner, 34, of 1218 Crestview Drive, Raceland, Kentucky, failure to appear, fourth-degree felony.
• Elizabeth Walker, 19, of 8130 County Road 1, Lot 49, South Point, failure to appear, fourth-degree felony.
• Robert A. Kennard, 38, of 148 Camelot Court, Russell, Kentucky, failure to appear, fourth-degree felony.
• Donald J. Spears, 39, of 1203 Stella Drive, Ashland, Kentucky, tampering with evidence, third-degree felony, and resisting arrest, first-degree misdemeanor.
• Billy J. Cooper, 29, of 611 S. Seventh St., Ironton, rape, first-degree felony.
• Stephen E. King Jr., 29, of 116 B. Freeman Court, South Point, aggravated trafficking in drugs, first-degree felony, and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, fourth-degree felony.
• Jason S. Preston, 40, of 45 Private Drive 2824 Apt. C, South Point, domestic violence, fourth-degree felony, and resisting arrest, second-degree misdemeanor.
• Rachel L. Nance, 36, of 167 Private Drive, South Point, possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree felony, and endangering children, first-degree misdemeanor.
• Brea S. Hanshaw, 25, of 2136 County Road 55, Ironton, possession of controlled substances, fifth-degree felony.
• Alison M. Lewis, 33, of 66 Private Drive 545, Ironton, two counts of trafficking in drugs, fourth-degree felonies, trafficking in drugs, fifth-degree felony, tampering with evidence, third-degree felony, and illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto grounds of detention facility or institution, third-degree felony.
• Justin T. Moore, 25, of 703 B. S. Ninth St., Ironton, trafficking in drugs, fourth-degree felony.
• Matthew R. Collins, 20, of 1124 N. Third St. Apt. C, Ironton, trafficking in drugs, third-degree felony.
• Andrew J. Holland, 32, of 1476 County Road 17, South Point, five counts of trafficking in drugs, two felonies of the third-degree, one fourth-degree and one fist-degree, and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, fourth-degree felony.
