BURLINGTON—Citizens of Burlington decided against beer, wine and mixed beverage sales at the Fayette Township Speedway store next to Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club, as Burlington Precinct 3 voters saw two issues regarding the matter on Tuesday’s primary election ballot.

The first dealt with the alcohol sales at the store Monday through Saturday, while the second was about Sunday sales.

Opposing the sales of beer, wine and mixed beverages every day but Sunday received 135 votes for 50.37 percent to 133 votes in favor for 49.63 percent.

For Sunday sales, 144 votes were cast opposing the sales for 53.93 percent to 123 votes in favor for 46.07 percent.
