South Point robbery suspect arrested in Georgia

SOUTH POINT — A South Point man, who was sought by police in connection with a string of robberies in the village, has been arrested in Georgia.
Police said that Bryan Christopher Layne was arrested Wednesday and found in possession of items stolen from a resident there.
South Point Police will place a holder on Layne for charges to have him extradited back to Ohio after he face charges in Georgia, according to a statement on the department’s Facebook page.
Layne was sought locally by police in connection with a string of robberies, including a Dec. 29 incident, in which they said he was captured on security video breaking into a home on North Kenova Road. Small items and cash were reported stolen from the home.
