SOUTH POINT — The South Point Police Department says a $5,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to the capture of a South Point man accused of bank robbery.
A federal arrest warrant has been issued for Charles R. Vaughn III, 26, who police say robbed the Vinton County Bank in Wilkesville on Oct. 30.
Federal, state and local law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at a home on Linden Avenue in South Point on Thursday in connection to the search for Vaughn.
Police said additional warrants could be filed as the investigation continues regarding several other robberies in three states.
Vaughn is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on him is asked to contact Sgt. Lenny Abrams with the South Point Police at 740-377-4011 or get in touch with local law enforcement or the FBI field office.
