Karen Harbolt

May 2, 1958 –– Nov. 27, 2015

Karen Sue Harbolt, 57, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, at the Ironton Campus of St. Mary’s Medical Center with her family at her side.

She was born May 2, 1958, in Ironton, a daughter of the late Betty Harrison and the late Virgil Delawder. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two nephews, Virgil Curnell and Robert Delawder; and a niece, Stella Robin Ionis.

She is survived by her fiancé, William Bailey; two daughters, Jennifer (Otto) Graham and Amanda (Savannah Bennett) Delawder; two sons, Fred (Delita) Mullins and Kevin Barnes; three sisters, Nancy (Homer) Leach, Judy (Charlie) Curnell and Janie Moore; three brothers, Jimmy Delawder, Elmer Delawder and Robert Delawder; four grandchildren, Katelyn and Amber Davis, Jessica Thibodaux and Maddison Delawder; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of the Brown Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrence Furnace Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the chapel. Her daughters have entrusted their moms care to Brown Funeral Chapel at Ironton.

 

Kimberly Slone

Kimberly Slone, 54, of South Point, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at home. She is survived by her husband, Tony Slone. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery, Crown City. Dow Dempsey

Dow Dempsey, 76, of Scottown, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at home. He is survived by his wife, Betty Halleck Dempsey. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

 

Michael Adkins

Michael B. Adkins, 52, of Grayson, Kentucky, formerly of Man and Harts Creek areas of Logan County West Virginia, died Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at the King’s Daughters Medical Center. Brown Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

 

Dorothy Earles

Dorothy Earles, 80, of Chesapeake, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015, at her residence. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with pastor Malcolm Grueser officiating.
