Service a balm to grieving

The holidays are a time of celebration for most people. It’s a time to get together with your family and friends and give thanks for each other and life’s many blessings.
Unfortunately, the holidays can also be one of the most difficult times of the year, especially for anyone who has lost a loved one.
That’s why Hall Funeral Home is continuing its annual tradition of hosting a Tree of Life service in honor of those who have passed away. This event is open to anyone who wants to remember and honor someone who has passed away by placing an ornament on a memorial tree.
When you lose a loved one, oftentimes celebrating the holidays are never quite the same. Grief triggers can be found in nearly everything, from a special song to traditions to photos. But simply trying to avoid or ignore your feelings isn’t a healthy way to cope.
The event will be at 6 p.m. on Dec. 4 at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville.
With the Tree of Life service, anyone who needs a little help and support is welcome to come and keep their loved one’s memory alive and a part of their holiday season.
