Joette Johnson

Joette Howell Johnson, 65, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Ironton native was born Nov. 26, 1949, a daughter of Jean Richendollar Howell, of Ironton, and the late Kenneth C. Howell.

Joette was a graduate of Ironton High School, was a foster grandparent at the Ironton Elementary School for five years and loved her pets. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Ironton, where she enjoyed singing in the choir.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents: Joseph and Elizabeth Richendollar and William and Selma Benson.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Tricia (Chris) Thompson of Ironton; a son, Brent (Elizabeth) Roach of Ironton; a twin sister, Rayette (Stephen) Kingery of Teays Valley, West Virginia; two grandsons, Cameron Roach and London Brown of Ironton; a niece, Tiffany (Jason) Witt of Teays Valley, West Virginia; great nieces, Jenna Witt and Avery Witt of Teays Valley, West Virginia; a special friend, Ralph Branam of Ironton; her dog and cat, Phoebe and Sofie; and numerous special friends.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Central Christian Church with ministers Willie Purdee and Hoyt Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. David Hyland

David Hyland, 62, formerly of Ironton, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at the Zusman Hospice of Columbus. He was born April 13, 1953, to the late Remy Hyland and the late Dolly Hyland Middleton. He was a graduate of Ironton High School class of 1971. He is survived by one sister, Brenda Lee Foster of Bolivar; one niece; three nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at the convenience of the family. O’Keefe-Baker is in charge of arrangements.

 

Jimmy Ramey

Willa Brown

Willa Mae Brown, 93, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wayne, West Virginia. Funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. today at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by pastor Brady K. Lipscomb and pastor Tom Kweder. Charles Wesley Williams, Jr., 17, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015.
