Ironton aLive celebrates past year during Business After Hours at Holiday Inn Express

Thursday evening brought community leaders and residents together at the Holiday Inn Express, as Ironton aLive celebrated its past year at a Business After Hours event.

“This is our annual meeting to show people our accomplishments of the past year,” Ironton aLive co-chairman Katrina Keith said. “We chose to do it Business After Hours-style and allow the community to come together.”

Acting executive director of Ironton aLive, Sam Heighton, said the group has Business After Hours in April, July and October, with this being the big one celebrating the end of the year.

Boards with pictures remembering all of Ironton aLive’s events this year filled the lobby of the hotel along with video picture displays of the first Taste of Ironton hosted by Ironton aLive in July playing in the conference rooms.

Guests enjoyed catered hors d’oeuvres as well as the fellowship the event brought.

Speaking at the event were Heighton and Ironton aLive chairman Ginger Gillenwater, who thanked everyone in attendance for coming and helping celebrate the group’s past year.
