Robert Doolin

June 17, 1957–Sept. 22, 2015

Robert L. Doolin, Jr., of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at Grant Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, on June 17, 1957 and was preceded in death by his father Robert Doolin Sr., and his mother Frances Gore Boyce.

He was a 1975 graduate of Green High School.

He is survived by three children, Teresa (Chad) Counts of Cardington, Susan Doolin of Phoenix, Arizona, and Matthew (Marissa) Doolin of Ashley; and two granddaughters, Raelynn and Peyton Counts; his former wife, Sharon L. Doolin of Marengo; two sisters, Sharri (Drew) Moose of Marion and Robyn (Robert) Marsh of Sciotoville; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at the Phillips Funeral Home on Saturday with viewing beginning at 2 p.m. and service at 4 p.m. The Rev. Clifford Gore will be officiating. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Brenda Smith

Brenda J. Smith, 67, of Proctorville, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington.

Kathleen Shafer

Kathleen Shafer, 85, of Proctorville, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville by pastor Jim Dailey.
