Two men charged with third-degree burglary won’t be spending any jail time.
On Friday, Chris Destocki, 35, of 1606 Charlotte St., Ironton, and Nathaniel J. Delong, 37, of West View Drive, South Point, were sentenced to three years probation in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.
The sentencing was made by visiting judge Dale Crawford, who had ordered presentence investigations on both men.
The two were originally indicted on second-degree counts of burglary, which were amended to third-degree when they pleaded guilty in early August.
The charges followed their arrests on Nov 11, 2014, at the victim’s home on County Road 7A.
The men were found inside the home and did not have permission to be there.
They were seen by the woman’s daughter, who lived next door.
Money was missing from the desk of the victim’s husband and $358 was found on Destocki.
If the men violate their probation, 12 months in prison has been reserved.
