JACKSON (AP) — The Ohio Highway Patrol says a driver was killed when her truck went off a road in Jackson and overturned.

Authorities said Saturday the time of the crash wasn’t known because it was hard for motorists passing by to see the accident.

They said 30-year-old Emily Short, of Jackson, was driving the truck on Beaver Pike when it went off the right side of the road, returned to the road and went off the left side, then hit heavy gravel near a railroad track and overturned.

Authorities said the driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was thrown out of the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened near Lake Katherine Road. Jackson is about 76 miles south of Columbus.
