Summer is good time to learn

When someone says the word teacher, the first thing that comes to mind is those charged with educating and preparing our young people for their future.
However, during the summer many probably don’t think much about our educators, but this is typically the time they use to learn.
A good example are those taking part in the Landmark Program Fellowship provided by the Gallia-Vinton Educational Service Center. This program affords teachers the ability to have a hands-on approach regarding American history.
This type of program not only provides resources for the teachers to learn, but it also allows for those insights to be passed along to students in a distinctive manner. These studies, that include receiving information from what many would consider experts in the field along with trips to various locations, provide an extra method that goes far beyond what shows up in a history book.
We applaud those who have participated in programs like this, and encourage all teachers to continue to look for new opportunities to keep learning fun for our young people. Making use of any occasion like this program will benefit both the teacher and their students.
These resources can help keep our students engaged and eager to learn.
