IRD youth football sets signups, camp
The Ironton Youth Football League registrations will be held at the Ironton Little League Fields.
Dates and times are: 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, July 25, and 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, July 27.
The second annual B.J. Hannon Memorial Youth Football Camp will be Monday through Friday, July 27-31.
Camp fee is $10 per child and may be paid during registrations. The camp is open to all local players and each camper receives a T-shirt and will compete in a punt, pass, kick and fastest 40-yard time competition on Friday.
There will be first and second place awards in each division: 1-2 grades, 3-4 grades, and 5-6 grades.

Ironton’s football fitness starts July 23
Any boys planning to play football at Ironton High School are to meet at 7 a.m. on Thursday in the stadium bleachers for the start of physical fitness.
RH youth football final registration
The Rock Hill Youth Recreation League will conduct its final registration from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Rock Hill Elementary practice field for youths in grades K-6.
Fee is $30 per player or $50 per family.
RH youth football camp July 27-31
The Rock Hill Youth Recreation League will conduct a football camp from 6-8 p.m. July 27-31 at the Rock Hill Elementary practice field for youths in grades K-6.
Fee is $10 per child and $20 per family. Fee is payable the first day of the camp.
St. Joseph athletic
physicals July 23
St. Joseph High School and Junior High School athletic physical will be Thursday at the Bellefonte Hospital’s Vitality Center.
Physicals for grades 7-9 will be from 8:30-10 a.m. followed by grades 10-12 from 10 a.m.- noon.
Physical forms are available in the high school principal’s office. Necessary items on the form must be filled out and signed by parents prior to the administration of the physical.
Ironton football sason tix on sale
Ironton Fighting Tigers’ season football tickets are now on sale.
Tickets for six homes games are $44. Checks should be made payable to IHS Athletic Dept.
PLEASE NOTE: Ticket orders MUST include a self-addressed stamped envelope — two to three stamps depending on the number of tickets ordered — and mailed to:

If a large amount of tickets are ordered, please apply extra postage. Please include a phone number with your order. Please do not drop off orders at the main office of the school or the auto shop garage, but instead contact the athletic department for any question or specific needs.
Tickets will be mailed out before the start of the regular season. If fans do not receive their tickets by Aug. 25, contact Mark LaFon at (740) 532-5235 during school hours.
Ironton has a strong and demanding schedule including all six home games.
The home schedule includes: Aug. 28 Wheelersburg; Sept. 4 Russell; Sept. 11 Beechwood, Ky.; Sept. 25 Portsmouth; Oct. 2 Fairland; Oct. 16 Rock Hill (senior night).
NSA state church tourney planned
The NSA West Virginia church state tournament will be held in Huntington, WVa., at St. Clouds and Barr fields Aug. 1-2.
The double elimination tournament will be a 2 home run plus 1-up style. Entry fee is $125.00 if paid by July 27th and $150.00 if paid later.
All teams must be NSA sanctioned and may turn in their paper roster. Balls will be provided.

Senior softball looking for players
Anyone age 55 and older interested in playing senior softball should contact Herm Zornes at (740) 533-1229. Games are played in Chesapeake.
Ironton youth grid camp set July 25
The first annual Ironton High School “Fighting Tiger” football camp will be Saturday, July 25, on Bob Lutz Field at Tanks Memorial Stadium.
The came is for youths entering grades 3-through-8 for the fall of this school year. The camp will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Entry fee is $25 and each camper will get a T-shirt. Players will have the opportunity to work with members of the high school coaching staff and Fighting Tiger players. There will also be guest speakers.
Interested persons may pre-register by contacting Brian Bowling at (740) 550-6877. Pre-registering guarantees the proper T-shirt size.
Registration the day of the camp begins at 9 a.m. in Tiger Alley.
