Fields started her career in 1973 after studying at a YMCA. In 1976 she joined the Ironton Artists Association. She often creates in the French en plein air manner setting up an easel to paint on site.

The work of the octogenarian will be on exhibit at the library through June 13. Many of the canvases are for sale.
