SOUTH POINT — Tractor Supply Company in South Point will host a pet event on Sunday, May 31 to encourage adoptions and support local animal groups. The event is part of Purina Days, which runs from May 27-31.

All Purina Days events are open to the public and their pets. Along with all the products to care for a variety of pets and animals, Tractor Supply will have free adoption kits on hand throughout Purina Days for the first 10 customers who adopt a pet from a local shelter or rescue. During the event, the store will host the Lawrence County Dog Pound on site from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. May 27-31. There will be pet adoptions and a bake sale.

This Saturday, there will be a community animal swap where farmers and individuals can sell and buy livestock and poultry.

“We have excellent pet and animal advocates in our community,” said Carl Radcliffe, manager of the South Point Tractor Supply store. “Tractor Supply is honored to work with them in finding forever homes for our furry friends during Purina Days and throughout the year.”
