SOUTH POINT — Four men from Detroit, Michigan, were arrested Wednesday evening at the Grandview Inn following a two-week investigation into heroin trafficking.

The Lawrence Drug and Major Crimes Task Force and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested  Tyron Loyd, 33, of 19162 McCormick St.; Carlos Dixon, 45, of 11176 Corbett St.; Marquies Bell, 18, 121406 Maiden St.; and Deante Gray, 23, of 12617 Linfield St.

They were each charged with trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony and they will be arraigned in Lawrence County Municipal Court on Friday.

According to a press release from the prosecutor’s office, the drug task force initiated controlled buys of heroin at the hotel where the four were taken into custody.
