Sheriff’s Reports

Theft — 1800 block State Route 141, Ironton, March 28, woman reported borrowed utility trailer not returned to her.

Failure to comply with order or signal of police officer — Five miles out State Route 217, April 5, deputy responding to a disorderly conduct call reported an allegedly intoxicated male drove up to the scene and asked “where he could find a deputy to get into a chase with,” and drove off at a high rate of speed; deputy reported the driver came back down the road and turned into a church parking lot and tried to pass the scene a third time, at which time the deputy reported blocking the road; driver allegedly drove backward on State Route 217 and returned to the church parking lot; driver allegedly tried to hit cruiser and returned to 217; deputy did not pursue due to having to take disorderly conduct suspect to jail; suspected driver named.

Passing bad checks — 900 block County Road 32, Chesapeake, April 4, man reported trying to cash a bad check from a roommate.

Domestic violence — 1500 block County Road 18, South Point, April 3, woman alleged niece hit her on the head twice; negative contact with suspect.

Criminal damaging — 1000 block County Road 411, Proctorville, April 2, vehicle egged.

Theft — 40 block Township Road 1043, Chesapeake, April 4, tag taken from vehicle.

Burglary — 200 block Township Road 1186, South Point, April 3, radio/CD player, Xbox, DVDs, food taken from residence.

Theft — 1400 block County Road 1, South Point, April 4, Rototiller, electric dyer, window air unit taken from garage.

Breaking and entering — 1600 block County Road 1, South Point, April 3, Leo’s Carryout broken into; $550 taken from register, two packs of cigarettes taken; surveillance video taken as evidence.

Criminal damaging — 100 block Township Road 1173, Proctorville, April 4, driver’s side mirror of vehicle broken.

Criminal damaging — 60 block Township Road 1026, South Point, April 3, windows of home damaged from suspected attempted break-in.
