Ohio University Southern will host informational workshops to provide Ohio parents and students with important details regarding the College Credit Plus initiative.
During the hour-long presentation, southern campus representatives will explain the program, provide information about enrollment, upcoming deadlines and admission guidelines, as well as answer questions about the new effort.
College Credit Plus is statewide program that provides supplemental educational opportunities to students in Ohio schools that exhibit academic proficiency and college readiness-skills as an option for taking college-level courses. It is open to students in grades 7-12, beginning with the start of the 2015-16 school year.
Through this opportunity, Ohio students may complete their freshman year of college or more, or choose to explore college courses of interest, while earning college credits, thereby significantly reducing the cost of earning a college degree. The informational sessions will be:
• 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Proctorville Center; and
• 6 p.m. Thursday at the Ironton campus, Bowman Auditorium.
Both events are free and open to the public. No advance registration is required.
