CHESAPEAKE— Sheila Ball used to teach cardio kickboxing at the Chesapeake Community Center and will be back two days a week to show members what the center has to offer in terms of fitness.
“I’m just going to be giving a tour of everything that’s there,” Ball said. “I will be able to show them what machines and exercises work what muscles and be there to answer any questions that anyone might have.”
Ball will be available at the community center from 5 to 6 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The cost to join the Chesapeake Community Center is $20 a month for adults and $15 for students. Anyone interested in joining the community center for fitness reasons can talk to Ball during those times to learn more.
There will also be an old-fashioned bean dinner fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the community center. Brown and white beans, fried potatoes, salmon patties, corn bread and dessert will be served and the cost is $5.
