CHESAPEAKE — A second fire has apparently wiped out the main structure at Sky Lake this morning.
According to 911 dispatchers, the call came in at 5:52 a.m. that a portion of the large building at the Chesapeake site had collapsed.
On Saturday a fire thought to have started from a heater used to thaw frozen water pipes destroyed the three-story building at the pay lake.
On Monday an investigator from the fire marshal’s office said the fire at 1543 County Road 32 was an accident.
As of 8:15 this morning crews from Chesapeake, Proctorville and Rome Township volunteer fire departments were at the scene. On standby were Crown City and both Burlington-Fayette crews.
More details will come as they develop.
