Rick Payne to perform at OUS Brown Bag concert Jan. 21

Rick Payne will perform at the Brown Bag Concert at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the Ohio University Southern Campus to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.
Payne was born and raised in Ironton, graduated from Ironton High School, received his bachelor’s degrees from Ohio University and his master’s from the University of Dayton.
Payne’s regional theatre experience includes “Annie Get Your Gun” (ensemble), “South Pacific” (Commander William Harbison), “Hairspray” (Seaweed), “Godspell” (Lamar), “Footloose” (Chuck Cranston), “Company” (Peter), “Legally Blonde” (Sandeep Padamadan/Nikos Argitacos), “Camp Rock The Musical” (Luke Williams), “Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs” (Gloomy Gus), “Back to the ‘80s…The Totally Awesome Musical” (Billy Arnold), “The Outsiders” (Jerry), “Grease” (Johnny Casino/Teen Angel), “Cats the Musical” (Old Deuteronomy), “A Laura Ingalls Wilder Christmas” (assistant director), “White Christmas” (ensemble) and his current show, “Cinderella,” where he will play the king at the Paramount Arts Center in Ashland on March 20 and 21. He has also been a guest soloist for many regional events.
