SOUTH POINT— South Point High School will host a dinner and musical event Thursday, Dec. 4, in the school cafeteria.
“We are having this to raise funds for lighting for our stage in the high school,” Jayshree Shah, assistant principal, said.
The musical program will consist of string and brass instruments, the South Point High School choir and band and faculty from Marshall University performing classical dances.
“This is the first year we are having this,” Shah said. “We want to promote and try and build up our choir and drama club programs.”
This is the second year South Point High School has had a choir.
“In order for performances to take place on our stage, we need better lighting for it,” Shah said.
Tickets for the event are $15 or $10 for students. Tables of eight can be sponsored for $180, and donations can also be made. The deadline to purchase tickets is Dec. 2. To purchase tickets, call South Point High School at 740-377-4323.
