A multimillion dollar project will pave seven county roads, starting on Monday.
“This is part of the county’s annual resurfacing program,” County Engineer Doug Cade said. “It will be finished by the first of November.”
Roads affected are County Road 54 or Dog Fork Road, 3 and a half miles of County Road 2 or Greasy Ridge, County Road 69 or Indian Guyan Road, County Road 406, the road in front of McDonald’s in Chesapeake, and County Road 411.
The paving is funded by the Ohio Public Works Commission and the county engineer’s portion of the Motor Vehicle Gas Tax.
Cade is also applying for $1.4 million in federal funds to resurface County Road 15 and County Road 18 and $950,000 for County Roads 181, 24, 7C and 230.
