Domestic violence — 70 block Township Road 1410, South Point, April 2, man alleged brother came to his residence with what looked like a sword and threatened to stab him in the ear; Steve Baldwin, 56, homeless, arrested.
Domestic violence, delinquent child — 10 block Township Road 1013, South Point, April 1, woman alleged 14-year-old sister hit her multiple times and threatened to hurt herself with scissors; juvenile transported to hospital for evaluation and placed on house arrest.
Breaking and entering — 1700 block Township Road 179, Ironton, April 2, weedeater, push mower and chainsaw taken from porch.
Having weapon while intoxicated — 50 block Township Road 156, South Point, April 3, man alleged his intoxicated friend threaten to shoot himself; Benjamin France, 62, of 50 Township Road 156, South Point, arrested.
Drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs — 31st Street Bridge, Proctorville, April 4, deputy observed man staggering across bridge; man was allegedly in possession of a spoon with white residue and a baggie of white powder, which was tested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and was determined to be heroin; Christopher Webb, 19, of P.O. Box 92, Walton, W.Va., arrested.
Disorderly conduct, reciting arrest, vandalism and aggravated menacing — Township Road 1105, Proctorville, April 2, woman alleged man threatened to shoot her; when suspect was questioned by deputies, he allegedly was not cooperative, resisted arrest and kicked and spit on the windows of the cruiser the entire way to the jail; Jeff Spencer, 36, of 248 Township Road 1163, Proctorville, arrested.
Domestic violence, possession of drugs — Chesapeake Elementary School, April 2, woman alleged her estranged husband tried to take their child out of school and threatened to bash his wife’s head into the school wall; deputy allegedly found a bag of marijuana in the suspect’s backpack; Johnathan McDonald, 25, of 225 Short St., Guyandotte, W.Va., arrested.
Burglary — 200 block Township Road 1186, South Point, April 3, woman reported back door of home broken in and a necklace was stolen.
Criminal mischief — County Road 31, Chesapeake, April 1, two people attempted to remove a section of guard rail on their property alleged they had permission from county engineer to do so; county engineer to deputy they did not have permission to remove guard rail; deputy reported engineer will contact the property owners to compensate the county for the damage.
Domestic violence — Private Drive in Chesapeake, April 1, woman alleged husband banged her head on a door and choked her; Ryan Pyles, 23, of the same address, arrested.
Theft — 70 block Township Road 1020, South Point, April 2, items taken from parked RV.
Criminal simulation — Marathon Gas Station, South Point, March 31, unknown subject tried to use counterfeit $20 bill.
Theft — Private Drive in Pedro, April 3, medication taken from residence.
Breaking and entering — 70 block Township Road 1204, Proctorville, April 2, lock cut off storage unit at apartment complex; various tools taken.
Burglary — 100 block Township Road 1119, Chesapeake, April 2, $2,000 in cash taken from residence.
Petty theft — Etna Baptist Church, Ironton, March 30, copper wire taken from air units.
