Pricie Gillenwalters
Pricie Gillenwalters, 91, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born July 28, 1922, the daughter of the late John and Ada Wilson Suttles.
Mrs. Gillenwalters was a graduate of Kitts Hill High School and a former employee of Lear Corporation in Morristown, Tenn., and Henrites in Ironton. She was a member of Sheridan Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, John H. “Bootie” Suttles and Norman Suttles.
She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Melinda Suttles, of Coal Grove; her caregivers with whom she lived, Kim Easterling and her boyfriend, Brandon Thomas; and a great niece, Kaylin Easterling; seven nieces and nephews, Melissa Frye, Jerimy Clonch, Jesse Suttles, Pamela Diaz, Peggy Suttles, Randy Suttles, and Linda Suttles; a step-grandson, J. D. Gillenwalters; a sister-in-law, Linda Easterling, of Coal Grove; and several great nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with pastor Todd Warner officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
Ida Schwab
Ida Mae Schwab, 84, went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2014, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. She was born in Ironton on Oct. 29, 1929, a daughter of the late Charles and Grace Martin Massie.
Mrs. Schwab attended Ironton City Schools and was a former employee of the Lawrence County General Hospital after retiring in 1971. She was a Christian and a member of the LaGrange Freewill Baptist Church and loved quilting, her flowers and most of all spending time with her family and dogs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Allen Schwab; three sisters, Ollie Mae Massie, Ruth Massie, and Helena (Sam) Massie; and two brothers, Bob Massie and David Massie.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Sue and her husband, David Caskey, of South Point, and Rose Marie and her husband, Mike Bowles, of Katy, Texas; four grandchildren, Tina and Robert Bihl, of Ashland, Ky., Michael Bowles, of Oceanside, Calif., Selina and Charlie Dalton, of Ironton, and Christi-Jo and Stacy Gannon, of South Point; a sister, Bertha Jenkins, of Toledo; and six great-grandchildren, Aaron and Gracie Dalton, Casie and Dakota Bowles, and Kacie Gannon and Nathan Hillman.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home with Minister Chad Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Daryl Smoot
Daryl Thomas Smoot, 42, of South Point, died Sunday, March 9, 2014, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Smoot. Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville is in charge of arrangements, which are incomplete.
Emma Harvey
Emma B. Harvey, 88, of Ironton, died on Sunday, March 9, 2014, she was the widow of the late Willard F. Harvey. She was born Aug. 16, 1925, to the late Frank and Emma Stephenson. She was a member of Central Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by three brothers. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky (John) Riddle, of Pickerington, and Sharon (Paul) Brown, of Ashland, Ky; one grandchild, Tonya Thompson, of Canal Winchester; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Schaller, Kenneth Thompson and Amber Thompson, all of Canal Winchester; two sisters, Laura Fullerton, of Coal Grove, and Nancy Hammonds, of Ironton; and one brother, Tom Stephenson, of Moundsville, W.Va.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-noon Wednesday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home. Funeral will begin at noon. Committal service will be at Woodland Cemetery.

Grant M. Bond, 67, of Ironton, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Arrangements are pending at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home.
